Athletics
CCA Athletics exists to provide the student/athlete the opportunity to develop their spirit and bodies, to learn how to function as part of a team, and to take their testimony of Christ into every venue they participate in.
Carefree Christian Academy is proud to be part of the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) and the Arizona State High School Clay Target League. We believe strongly in the student-athlete, with the student coming first and athletics as a valuable role in their lives to shape and prepare them for the future in a growing, changing and competitive world. Athletics instills strong work ethic, perseverance, and confidence in every athlete who chooses to compete.
At CCA we also value athletics as a tool to grow in our Christian faith. Coaches lead their teams both spiritually and in their designated sport. Click on the sports below to learn more about our coaches and programs.

Miss Woodruff is CCA’S dance coach. She has been dancing in various styles for 11 years. Miss Woodruff is currently a collegiate dancer at Arizona Christian University. She has coached Children Pre-k through High School. Miss Woodruff has taught multiple styles of dance including Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Tumbling, Pom, Musical Theater, and Lyrical. She loves helping students understand such a beautiful art form. She hopes that as she shares her love for dance students will be inspired to grow in the art form. She encourages students to not only to grow their abilities as dancers but as individuals too; She always quotes the saying “Love so radically they wonder why.” A saying she encourages students to live by. She believes that God is love and the best way to spread the Gospel is simply by being kind and loving people.
Rylie Lavine has been dancing for 16 years, competed in dance for 5 years, and has 5 years of choreography experience. She was her high school’s dance club president and pom team captain. Rylie was also apart of Arizona Christian University’s game day and competition dance team. Rylie sees amazing things for the future of the CCA dance team and is thankful to be apart of it. She wants to focus on helping CCA dancers grow their confidence in performing throughout the season. Rylie says that Luke 18:27 “He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.” inspires her and reminds her that she has the King of kings on her side at all times.
